The Science Behind Angels & Demons

And in my search for the CERN video from the Angels & Demons dvd, I came across these lectures about the science behind the movie. I haven't watched 'em yet but hope to soon!

CERN for Kids aka CERNland

Well, I was watching the special features on Angels & Demons and there was a very cool part about CERN in it. So, I decided to check out their website. They have a whole bunch of stuff there and have a section dedicated to kids called CERNland. I didn't spend tons of time there but it looks very cool. They have info, games and videos as well as some stuff you can download. It is available in a number of different languages as well.

Nerve Signaling at Nobelprize.org

The Nobel Prize Organization has tons of educational interactives and games. One that recently caught my eye was this one on Nerve Signaling. It has tons of info (much more than shown in the screen capture above.) Interesting "scratchy" graphics plus decent ambient sound.

National Geographic Kingdom of The Whale

This is the piece that prompted me to make this dang blog. It is gorgeous for one thing. The info is very cool and it is fun to play with. Plus, I love the ambient sound with it.

Why are you still reading? Go play with it!

Oh Oh!

Well, last night I posted the first post but, I guess my computer was tired and it just shut itself off.

I said something about always wanting a place to put all the cool interactive stuff I find and now I have a place of my very own. I am especially interested in collecting educational interactives.

Here we go!
